Awesome VTA Sound in a Drop-In, Plug-and-Play Installation

The stock eBOV on your 2013-2022 F150 3.5L or 2.7L EcoBoost may be fine for most folks, but if you want a hyper-aggressive VTA sound in a quality package with a plug-and-play install, you'll need Turbosmart's Vee Port EM BOV Kit. Unlike Turbosmart's earlier BOV kits, the Vee Port EM System drops right into place of your F150's stock eBOV and plugs right into the factory connector for the stock eBOV, meaning you no longer have to blank off the stock wiring with a resistor and add a boost reference line for a mechanical BOV. Despite dropping right into place of the stock eBOV, the Turbosmart Vee Port EM is a true vent-to-atmosphere (VTA) BOV that has an aggressive sound when you lift your foot off the throttle and features a high-quality construction that won't let you down when you add mods and tuning to increase boost pressure.

Hard Anodized Piston with High-Speed Solenoid in a Billet Aluminum Body

The Turbosmart Vee Port EM BOV uses an unique electronically-actuated valved that's housed in a billet aluminum body with a stock-style bayonet fitting that allows it to drop right into your stock or most aftermarket intercoolers. Each Turbosmart Vee Port is built around an Eletro-Mechanical valve that uses the OEM connector to receive signals directly from your truck's PCM and blow off your F150's boost pressure to the atmosphere in an aggressive VTA sound. The Vee Port features a hard-anodized 38mm piston that's actuated by a high-speed solenoid. Each Turbosmart BOV features a positive mechanical seal to hold boost and handle higher pressures over time than the stock eBOV. The Turbosmart Vee Port BOV features a billet aluminum body with a black anodized finish that gives is a great look and high levels of strength. The BOV easily installs in place of your stock BOV and plugs right into your F150's BOV connector with no additional hardware or air lines.

May not work with some aftermarket intercoolers: due to this BOV using an L-bracket for bolting to the stock intercooler, any intercooler that uses a separate bracket for adapting the stock BOV to a new mounting location may have a fitment conflict. You may need to fabricate your own bracket for proper fitment. This BOV will not work with the AMS Intercooler, due to the AMS unit requiring the use of the stock eBOV solenoid assembly.

Very nice product install is easy. It is definitely louder than stock but not crazy loud. If you doing every day driving not much different as far as sound. Now if you lean on the throttle a bit then let off yes it's going to turn some heads. The thing I really noticed was how much faster my turbos spool. The factory BOV is literally just a huge piece of plastic and boost leaks are common with tuned trucks. This is a well made product very happy.

2018 Ford F-150 Super Crew XLT Sport Tuned 2.7

Got this BOV for my tuned 2.7 F150 as I recently upgraded to a custom 93 octane tune from Brew CityBoost. My boost is much higher and the oem valve on these engines can tear over time and fail. This Turbosmart Vee is amazing! Plug and play, fits perfectly onto the intercooler, straight forward easy install. Sounds amazing, and even offered better performance with my tuned F150 2.7. Boost is stronger and more responsive. Definitely worth getting versus just doing the BOV mod that most do. It’s controlled by the trucks computer also so it’s working like suppose to with no engine cel or failures. Must get for a quality piece of equipment that’s built extremely well.! I got this since BCB recommended it with my custom tune. You don’t need a tune to use this, as the oem valve from ford is known to fail. Must have! Multiple online install videos on how to do the install step by step. Took me about 30 min with my truck on truck ramps to be able and get under the front of the truck to lower the intercooler as it can’t be installed without removing it.

2014 f150 3.5 ecoboost

Product looks very well manufactured, and a direct plug and play. You get a very loud woooosh sound now when the blow off valve opens. The only thing I didn’t like was the instructions were very unclear, you basically had to just guess- although it looked pretty straight forward, some direct guidance would have been helpful.

2015 F150

First off if you're looking for that loud pssshhhhttt sound when you let off the gas buy the mechanical BOV by Turbosmart. This is one is a great replacement for the factory BOV and works very well. But is very quite when it bleeds off pressure.

2016 F150 2.7

Got this to avoid failure of the stock BOV (pushing well over 20 PSI) The only reason for the three star is that the return spring in the valve was to soft so the valve would stay stuck open. i replaced the spring with a slightly stiffer one (found in my rc car stash) that fixed the problem. now works the way it supposed to.

2016 F150 XLT

If you are looking for a factory replacement with a more pronounced swish sound then this is the product for you. I previously had the VTA mod done and wanted more sound. This product gets 4 starts because the plug and my factory wiring harness did not match up perfity. I had to use a small file to remove a small amount of plastic material for the plug to seat correctly, allowing the clip to lock in place. Otherwise I've been driving with this part installed for 10k and have had no issues only enjoyment.

2014 Ford F-150 FX4 Tremor

The valve is soliod and well made. Installation wasn't too bad but there were two things you need to know NOT IN THE INSTRUCTIONS. First the wiring harness needs to point down. It will not fit with it pointing up. Second you have to remove and reuse the wire harness from the old valve. There is about a 6 inch section between the top clips and the junction at the old valve that needs to be rescued. The fittings will not go together with out it. Noise is not too loud. Does not whistle which was good for me. Also note if you are upgrading just for the noise it is jot loud enough to hear in the cab with the windows up. Again fine with me. I wanted to replace a cracked sticker not just add noise. 4 stars. I only give 5 stars for something that was unexpectedly better than anticipated. This is everything it should be but no extra wow.

2013 F150 Platinum

The factory BOV was driving me nuts with the dying moose noise. I replaced it with the Turbosmart, and I couldn't be happier. I was worried that it would be too loud and obnoxious, but it's not. Inside the truck you can hear it occasionally, but not too bad.

2013 F-150 3.5 ecoboost

Great quality and build. Seems a little too sensitive for a tuned truck. Seems to let off a little early and stay open too long. Probably best for a nearly stock truck. I will likely switch to the vacuum operated version shortly.

2018 F150 Supercrew 2.7

Not the loudest VTA but it's there. Much better piece than the OEM unit. You just can't go wrong with turbosmart. Follow the install videos and it's an easy install. Nice if you have lift, but ramps/jack stands and a crawler is a 45 minute job taking your time.

Do you have to fully remove the intercooler to install this BOV?

I had to remove the intercooler to get the old valve out. I could not turn it far enough to remove it with the intercoller in place. The intercooler is easy enough to remove though so not a big deal.

According to Turbosmart's instructions, the stock intercooler would need to be removed. We have not tried to install this particular BOV as of yet, so we're not sure if you can save some time by leaving the intercooler on-truck, but it's likely possible.

It is much easer to remove the inter cooler. With that being said when the intercooler is out it is a great time to drain what ever junk has collected in the bottom of the intercooler. There are 2 13mm blots that hold the intercooler bracket on so it is easy to remove. Well worth a couple extra minutes.
