Stage 3 Motorsports 2015 F150 3.5L EcoBoost XLT Project Truck
With our other 2015-2017 F150 Project Trucks all being Lariats, we decided to change things up and use an XLT truck as our canvas this time around. What we started with was a 2015 F150 XLT powered by our beloved 3.5L EcoBoost V6 and equipped with a SuperCrew cab and 4WD. Take a look through the build sections below to see how we transformed this basic F150 into a competent do-it-all truck that's at home both on the street and out on the trail. Our 2015 F150 XLT Build has just about every accessory you can think of, and then some. This truck got a full makeover in both utility and visuals with the addition of Lund Fender Flares, N-Fab Light Mount Bar, BAK Tonneau Cover, BedTred and more! Whether you're into style upgrades or simple parts that can make your truck more useful on the job, this F150 has something for everyone! MORE INFO ON OUR ACCESSORY INSTALLS
The 3.5L EcoBoost engine in our F150 has plenty of pep, but there's always room for more power, and a little more growl out of the exhaust doesn't hurt either! We added an aggressive-looking MBRP cat-back system, a high-quality Banks cold air intake, and a UPR catch can to get this truck's motor up to snuff. With all these parts being simple bolt-on jobs, it wasn't long before we had this F150 out ripping up the streets and trails. MORE INFO ON OUR ENGINE & EXHAUST UPGRADES
It should come as no surprise that this truck has been wired up with enough lighting upgrades to embarrass the sun. That is the Stage 3 way after all. We hit this F150 with a new set of Anzo Switchback Headlights, Anzo Smoked Taillights, Raptor Style Grille lights, some KC 6" ProSport Lights and much more! Even after the moon comes out, this truck has no problem making itself seen. MORE INFO ON OUR LIGHTING UPGRADES
The factory suspension, wheels and tires on our 2015 F150 are perfectly fine for street use and some very light off-roading, but we here at Stage 3 don't really do "light off-roading". We got right to work setting this truck up with Halo Lifts 2" Spacers, then we swapped those out for Halo Lifts Boss Coilovers, Boss Rear Shocks and Icon Upper Control Arms. On top of that, we added Method Wheels and BFG KO2 Tires. MORE INFO ON OUR LEVELING KIT, WHEELS & TIRES
Our 2015 F150 XLT is anything but a mall crawler. We've already taken this truck out and thrashed it on some forest trails and snow, but we've got more off road action planned for this truck in the near future. Check out all the awesome photos and video of this F150 in action as we take it out and put our upgrades to the test! PHOTOS & VIDEOS OF OUR F150
