Stage 3 Motorsports 2014 F250 6.7L Lariat Project Truck

"It's bad. Like real bad," Bill said to me when talking about how this lightly used 2014 F250 Super Duty 6.7L handled through turns. What we have here, regardless of driving style, is a big Super Duty truck with the baseline handling similar to a refrigerator on wheels and it even looks the part with its Oxford White paint and SuperCrew Cab. Thus, it was nicknamed "Ice Box". To be fair, we didn't grab this rig to put down phenomenal lap times. We grabbed it because the 6.7L Powerstroke's 400 horsepower and 800lb-ft of torque are pretty amazing numbers, that only get more insane with tuning and some aftermarket upgrades. We also wanted to go through several different suspension and tire setups to see just how far we could push this refrigerator-esque vehicle to turn the "Ice Box" into one of the hottest trucks in Arizona.

When it comes to adding accessories on our project builds we always strive to update the appearance of the truck as well as some of the utility. The beautiful thing about diesels is that it doesn't take much to seriously boost their horsepower and torque output. We grabbed ourselves an S&B cold air intake, MBRP exhaust kit, and an Edge CTS2 tuner to try to squeeze even more power out of our already aggressive truck. We customized our 2014 F250's styling in a big way by upgrading our headlights, taillights, third brake light, and mirror lights to better fit our black-on-white color scheme and assuage our undiagnosed OCD. Before we jumped head first into a massive lift kit and 37" tires, we wanted to see what our Super Duty would do with a more tame Icon leveling kit, some Fuel Maverick wheels and 35" Mickey Thompson ATZ's. MORE INFO ON OUR LEVELING KIT, WHEELS & TIRES

We have a serious addiction to towering ride heights that is bound to get us in trouble one of these days. Until then, we're going to have fun with it, and it's also why we decided to take our Project F250 build up to 7" of extra ride height and throw on some big 38x13.50" mud-terrain tires while we were at it. As if our 2014 Super Duty didn't already look bulky and tough from factory, we went ahead and bolted on massive Fusion front and rear bumpers. While the styling is certainly awesome, these bumpers also provide our truck with a bit of protection off road and some new tow points to use for recovering other vehicles. The good news about a big, bad Super Duty truck is that with the right suspension and tires, it can go just about anywhere. With the modifications we've made since we've had this truck, we've taken off-road more than a few times, and we have pictures and video galore of our 2014 6.7L Ice Box build rocketing around off-road all over the great state of Arizona.
