Stage 3 Motorsports 2013 F150 5.0L STX Project Truck
Our 2013 F150 5.0L Project truck rolled off the lot in STX trim with a SuperCab configuration, 6.5ft bed, and a Blue Flame Metallic paint job. We love the 5.0L F150's and we made sure to treat this one right by setting it up with a full ProCharger kit, a 7" lift, various lighting upgrades and so much more! The end result is an ultra aggressive F150 that has the power and off-road performance to back it up its looks. You can read all the details on the installs and parts we used in the sections below! If there's one thing we here at Stage 3 are always hurting for a good bit with all our trucks, it's storage. Even with our 2013 F150 5.0L STX's 6.5ft bed, we carry around plenty of gear that can't be getting wet or tossed around in the back. That's why we went through a serious overhaul of our truck's bed storage while also adding a tonneau cover to make sure we keep our tools, gear, and camera equipment all safe and secure. The 5.0L V8 is a solid engine platform to build up with bolt on mods and it certainly doesn't disappoint when it comes to unleashing that V8 rumble with an aftermarket exhaust. We started off our build with some quick and easy power mods and a new exhaust, but unsurprisingly that still wasn't enough for us. We later progressed into supercharging our F150's 5.0L to truly get the most out of it! MORE INFO ON OUR ENGINE & EXHAUST UPGRADES
The interior of our STX F150 is in good shape, but it left a lot to be desired in both style and utility. We gave it a helping hand by throwing on some tactical seat covers, more storage and a set of para-cord grab handles for the passengers in the back. These mods were a simple update to our truck's interior that made it more usable and more intriguing to look at. MORE INFO ON OUR INTERIOR UPGRADES
We here at Stage 3 don't exactly shy away from new lighting components and upgrades, but the sheer amount of lighting parts that we threw at this 2013 F150 was a bit insane, even for us. Almost every light and bulb was replaced with something from the aftermarket, on top of various additional off-road LED lights and light bars to light up nearly every direction around the truck. As with all of the project trucks that drive around the hallowed grounds of Stage 3 Motorsports, upgrading the suspension on our 2013 F150 5.0L was high up the list. So we swapped out the factory strut assemblies and rear shocks for a more off-road adept Fox kit while also grabbing a set of aggressive Method wheels and All-Terrain Tires to round out the package and give our truck the ability to tackle more rugged terrain than it could stock. We decided to kick this F150 build into high gear by stepping up the size. To that end, we grabbed one of the largest out-of-the-box suspension lift kits we had for the 2009-2014 F150s and added huge 37" off-road tires on a new set of 20x9" SOTA wheels. Go big or go home right? MORE INFO ON OUR LIFT KIT, WHEELS & TIRES
There are plenty of lifted trucks rolling around that are sadly unfamiliar with trails or dirt in general. Our 2013 F150 is not one of those trucks. While this F150 has the kind of bold styling that'll turn heads it's also got some scratches and dings from being use like a real truck. We've thrashed this thing around off-road and made sure to snag some pictures and video for you all to enjoy! PHOTOS & VIDEO OF OUR BUILD IN ACTION
