We here at Stage 3 have been around a while, and in that time, we've built up some pretty lean and mean Mustangs that have each been a blast to own and throw around. You can browse all our project Mustangs here to see what we've done and get some ideas for your Mustang build!
2015 Mustang 5.0L GT Project Car
Its been a while since we jumped into another Mustang build, but we decided the time was right and we committed to a Race Red 2015 5.0L GT! We're going to be throwing a few exterior mods, some new suspension and upgraded lighting at this car to really clean up the look and the stance. See the details over on our 2015 Mustang 5.0 GT Project Page.
2015 Mustang 2.3L EcoBoost Project Car
The 2015 Mustangs with the 2.4L EcoBoost I4 under their hoods have more than their fair share of haters. Luckily, those people are WRONG, and we proved it by grabbing just about every carbon fiber part we could get our grubby paws on and combining them with an air suspension kit, power-adders, and tuning that made this EcoBoost-powered Pony look sexier and run circles around your average V8 muscle car of choice. Our EcoBoost Mustang was absolutely glorious, and was one of the most gorgeous Mustang builds we've put together, though maybe not the fastest. 2012 Mustang GT 5.0L Project Car
With the 2011 to 2014 Mustang GTs already looking awesome and rocking a bunch of power from their 5.0L Coyote V8s, it really doesn't take all that much to get a great-looking street car that's faster than most of the folks out their on the road. Our 2012 Mustang GT build has just enough exterior and styling upgrades to set it apart from the res of the herd and just enough power-adders, suspension, and brake upgrades to make it a fun and aggressive daily driver that provides an absolutely excellent driving experience. 2008 Shelby GT500 5.4L Convertible Project Car
During their production runs, the Shelby GT500s represented the pinnacle of mass-market performance, and even eight years after it rolled of the line, our otherwise untouched 2008 Shelby GT500, is still churning out a ton of power. What's even better, is that this low-mileage GT500 was had for under $30,000, making it a performance bargain that's only get better when subjected to the modifications and tuning that we have in store for this mean, clean Snake. 2007 Mustang GT 4.6L "T-Roush" Project Car
This car put Stage 3 on the map, and for a while was one of one of the most powerful and terrifying Mustangs rolling around the greater Phoenix Metro Area. With a Roush TVS 2300 Supercharger sitting on top of a Roush P51 short block with JBA long tube headers and about every other bolt-on we could throw at thing. In the end, this crazy horse was pushing out 650 horsepower which was kept under control by a full set of suspension modifications and 6-piston brake kits on both the front and rear. This thing could move, handle, and stop like no other and is still one of the most insane cars we put together over the years. Read all the details over on our 2007 Mustang GT "T-Roush" Project Page.
2006 Mustang GT 4.6L "Dark Horse" Project Car
Another unique creation from your friends at Stage 3 was our 2006 Mustang GT Saleen Dark Horse Clone. The 2009 Saleen Dark Horse was supposed to be Saleen's swan song for the original S197 Mustangs, and while they were pretty awesome, they didn't sell particularly well. We here at Stage 3 liked the look, so we decided to use parts and accessories to make our own version, starting from a base 2006 Mustang GT. The car ended up with a complete Saleen Super Shaker 550 horsepower Supercharger System, full exhaust system, and a full suite of body and interior modifications that gave it a wicked, murdered out look inside and out. 2000 Mustang GT "FauxBra" Project Car
While the term "FauxBra" is usually a derogatory term for the folks that put the SVT Snake and Cobra body pieces all over a standard 2V SN95 Mustang, our take on the definition is a wee different. Our 2000 Mustang GT "FauxBra" is actually rocking a 4V 4.6L V8 from a wrecked 2001 Cobra under the hood which was paired up with long tube headers and an off-road H-pipe to give it a vicious sound and a bunch of extra power. Aside from Cobra Taillights rear wing, and an SVT badge on the rear, the exterior is all original 2000 Mustang GT hardware, and the suspension was upgraded with a K-Member kit with coilovers for a great look and excellent handling.
