Just got back from Moab had a chance to use it every day for a week. One thing I have to say review is missing is It did not rain so I can't say for sure how well it will do in the rain. Easiest way is to give cons and pros about the tent... unfortunately so far I have more cons than pros considering the price especially. Cons: 1- Tent is way heavier than advertised, the manual that it came with has a different weight listed than one can see from the manufacturer website. That was the biggest let down. Especially if one uses the tent for any off road situation, it makes the vehicle very top heavy. 2- The build quality shows that it is made in China... stitching and seam sealing is sloppy to put it mildly. The main entrance zipper is a bit tight, hoping it will last and not come undone. 3- Putting the tent up in the wind can be very difficult and nearly impossible if wind is over 20 mph. 4- Tent soft cover and straps aren't designed very well, the cross straps that supposed to compress the tent have plastic buckles and one of them snapped off from first time it was used. The straps come loose and don't hold the tension. Straps that are built into the cover are made out of semi flexible plastic and are already starting to crack, once they brake off the cover is practically useless. 5-Tent cover itself is a bit large and could have been made tighter to compress the tent, otherwise it comes loose and starts flopping around creating unwanted wind drag and noise. 6- Does not pack evenly. When folded one side of the tent gets all the tubing and most of the material making one side of the vehicle heavier and also stick out more and not having well designed straps make it impossible to compress it further. 7-Latter holders are plastic and are very tight making it difficult to install and to remove the latter, furthermore when trying to remove the clips might brake if one is not careful. 8-mount hardware has plastic components which is concerning. 9-Matress cover is noisy and slippery/cheap feeling. Pros: 1-Material seems durable, so far did not rip with gusts of winds up to 25-30 mph 2-Darker tent material is fairly condense not letting a lot of light in, making it possible to sleep in and not be bothered by bright morning sun (some might find it gloomy though, as during the day inside the tent tend to be pretty dark) 3-Large front window/door and overhang make it possible to sit comfortably and overhang provides additional cover from sun or rain 4-Latter is well designed and is fairly compact for the size 5-Easy to mount 6-Shoe/storage bags are convenient and spacious. Good info to know: I'm 6.3 and can fit but it's very tight length wise. No way this would sleep 3 people, I'm on a slim side and two people with NO gear can fit ok but that's about it. Tent does collect condensation if windows are closed, even when two vents are propped open. Things that would be nice to have are clear/plastic windows and sky port for star gazing. Mattress could be a bit more on a plush side, it feels too firm and very difficult to get use to for side sleepers. Would I buy it again knowing these things after using is for a week... I would give it a thought but for the price I would also consider completion.
