What On-Board Air Compressor System Is Right For My Truck?
It's not normal for the back of your truck to squat or sag while towing or hauling heavy loads. In fact, it leaves you open to a ton of possible road hazards. If the weight of your truck is all directed on the rear end, you can quickly lose braking and steering capability. That's why we recommend adding on a set of air springs to your F150 or Super Duty. One of the best compliments you can add to a set of air springs is the convenience of an on-board air compressor. If you've gone with a set of air springs to increase your load when you're hauling, there's nothing like having the added bonus of your own re-fueling station in order to balance the air level in those springs instead of having to look for the nearest gas station that may or may not have a functioning air compressor system.
Some of these systems operate with an analog gauge that you can use to fill up your air springs with the press of a button while in the comfort of your cab or you can go with a wireless system that allows you the flexibility of loading up your springs from outside of your truck in order to watch until you've reached your desired level between your truck, RV or trailer. Either of these systems come in either a dual or single-path filling style. The single path is perfect for hauling a boat or your other toys on a trailer that have an even load while the dual-path system is your savior when it comes to hauling uneven loads that might put too much extra weight on one side, giving you the power to elevate each spring independently until you achieve the correct level of balance for whatever you're hauling.
