Amazing, Muscular Exhaust Note

Your 2011 to 2014 F150 5.0L comes from the factory with a big, powerful V8 motor, but it's sure missing that big V8 roar. Our friends over at Solo Performance missed that ferocious sound so much, that they came up with an F150 cat-back exhaust system that gets it all back while adding a great look without an annoying interior drone at idle or while cruising. The Solo Mach-X exhaust kit can get you the deep, throaty, and extremely aggressive exhaust note that you've always wanted for your 5.0L truck as a direct bolt-on replacement for your truck's weak factory cat-back system. The Solo Performance Mach-X kit is by far one of the best sounding cat-back systems for the 5.0L F150s, and won't even bother your wife and kids while you're out cruising.

304 Stainless Steel Muffler and Tips

The Mach-X kit features high-quality 304 stainless steel that will resist rust, corrosion, and discoloration in practically any climate. The system features 3" 409 stainless steel mandrel-bent exhaust tubing that generates far less back pressure than your truck's crimped factory exhaust kits to provide some mild to moderated power and torque gains on top of its awesome sounds. The kit's awesome exhaust tone is the result of its unique Mach-X dual exit muffler. The Mach-X muffler is packaged with both ceramic fibers and stainless steel wool which helps keep overall volume and drone down while still providing a deep and throaty sound. After the muffler, the system splits into two 2-1/2" outlet pipes to exit out each side of your truck with aggressive Solo dual staggered exhaust tips that feature a polished finish. If the Mach-X system happens to be too loud for you, then you can order the system with an additional resonator to reduce volume. The kit comes with hardware and detailed install instructions for even greater convenience.

This cat-back exhaust kit deletes your factory resonator for a more aggressive tone.

Wheelbase fitment: this F150 5.0L cat-back exhaust kit will only fit 145" wheelbases, which can be found on the following cab/bed configurations:

2014 FX4 Supercrew

Just had this exhaust installed today and it sounds and looks awesome. Stage 3 was more than helpful with the purchase and delivery was timely. Quality and finish of this exhaust is superb. Installation was trouble free from start to finish. The sound was exactly what I was looking for, a nice low growl turning into a nice roar of thunder once the pedal is pressed hard! The exit tips were top notch.

2013 F-150 SuperCab

First off, the build quality of this system is up to par, if not better than the most expensive brands. The bends are perfectly smooth, and I love how they used 304 stainless on the important stuff (muffler, clamps and tips.) Total rip-out and re-install time was about 45 minutes with a cordless impact drill. I love the dual tips on both side exits. Nobody else makes an exhaust like this on the market. The sound of this system is by far the best I've heard on any V8 truck and I'm not saying that just because it's my own truck. It literally gave the truck that old classic style muscle car sound. The sound clips and videos for this exhaust do not do it justice. Performance wise, you won't notice much of a change in the lower rpm/torque range, but when you open the throttle up and let this baby breathe, you'll forget about your quiet stock exhaust really quick. Thanks Solo Performance for an excellent product and Stage 3 for a great deal on it!

2013 Ford F150

First of all the shipping was lighting fast. Ordered and showed up the next day. I installed it tonight by myself, took 3 hours, hardest part was getting the stock resonator off. Jacked up the passenger side of the truck and slide the stock tail pipe and muffler out without removing the spare. Everything fit up perfect. I ordered the optional resonator and love the sound. Nice rumble in the driveway and thru the neighborhood. Sounds great when I really stand on it with being obnoxious. Took it out on the highway and at speed not much different then stock. I think my new towing mirrors make more wind noise then the new exhaust. Plus the dual tips look so much better than that ugly stock tail pipe. The pipes are tucked up nice under the truck.

2014 FX4

I got this exhaust with the added resonator. I've had this exhaust on for about 6k miles now, and it sounds AWESOME! To be honest, my first impressions of the system after installing was that I hated how loud it was, especially since this is my first aftermarket exhaust for a vehicle. Whenever RPMs were in the 1800-2000 range, it droned bad, I wanted to take it off and get something else. I called Solo performance and also Stage3 (both had exceptional customer service) and both told me to keep it on that it would settle down after about 1000 miles or so. I'm extremely happy they convinced me to give it a chance, because I LOVE IT now. I smile every time I start the truck, and I tend to use remote start just to hear it from the outside. Install was simple, customer service is great, sound is awesome, absolutely no regrets with the purchase!

2013 Ford f150 5.0

Looks great and sounds awesome. Took about three hours to install (including removal of old exhaust)on floor of garage. Quality of system and parts is the best. I ordered mine with the resonator and the sound is just right. Most of all I was impressed with how well (and easily) everything fit together, looks much better than stock. If your looking for a dual exhaust this is the way to go. Very satisfied!

2013 Ford F150 5.0L FX4 SuperCrew

I purchased this exhaust without the optional resonator, although I was concerned that there could be an issue with drone at certain RPMs, even though the description states there wouldn't be any. After the relatively easy install -- the hardest part was getting the exhaust tips on either side to be roughly equal in position -- I was pleasantly surprised that I don't hear any drone. None. Truth in advertising? Go figure. Having said that, this exhaust is loud. I've previously installed Flowmaster 40-series exhausts on my V8 trucks. Those are tame lil' kittens compared to the Solo Mach-X. I love the tone (growl) and the loudness even more so, but be advised that you will scare small children, the elderly, and liberals. They will chastise you for not being eco-friendly, and disturbing Mother Earth, particularly when you're off-road. In short, this exhaust, while made in Canada, is everything 'Merica should be. I'm already planning on installing more of these exhausts on every truck I ever buy. Big thanks to S3M for the awesome price and military discount. Like a virgin on prom night, I feel the love, and I like it.

This exhaust is a perfect fit and sounds bad-ass! Sounds like My Mustang but with a deeper growl. it was really easy to install. no jacking or lift needed. (just be careful of brake lines and ABS lines) I definitely recommend this exhaust!

Installed on 2013 FX4 5.0 Supercrew w/ additional resonator option. Quality system, easy to install. Sounds awesome; initially thought it might be to loud, but after few hundred miles it softens up a bit. Deep v8 sound without being obnoxiously loud. Dual tips out look amazing.

Extremely high quality system. Installation was a breeze. I only wish I had gotten the optional resonator to quiet things down just a touch as there is indeed a bit of drone traveling at highway speeds. Not sure if it would help or not but I figure it could be worth a shot. Other than that, this system rocks! Sounds incredible when you put the hammer down!

I purchased the Solo Dual Exhaust kit after looking at all other brands. I liked Solo because I could leave my spare in place and it just looked like a nice kit. Well, I was not disappointed! I installed this kit by myself in 2.5 hours including tear out. Fit together great, stainless clamps that work, tips and muffler were wrapped so not to damaged. Sounds great! Can't beat dual on a truck! If someone wants a good sounding, good looking dual exhaust system for there truck, this is the one!

2012 fx4 5.0

I took the exhaust to a local place for installation as I didn't feel like laying on the garage floor. After installation, they were amazed with the fit, finish, and quality of the exhaust. Told me it was the best they have ever put on. After driving it, I was even more happy. At first I thought it was too quiet because it doesn't make much inside noise. Had my brother drive it by me a few times, my thoughts changed, it makes sound, and it's mean! Absolutely in love with the sounds this exhaust makes. Anyone looking for a quality good sounding, great looking exhaust would not be disappointed!

2014 F-150 5.0 STX

Firstly, this is the first review I have ever posted on any site because I can never be bothered. But this exhaust pumped me up so much I just had to do something in return. Super easy to install (never installed an exhaust before and it took me roughly 2 hours, simple and easy instructions). It sounds AWESOME!, a quite rumble in idle - then a clean aggressive roar under throttle. Turns me on every time I get in the truck, lol. Oh yea, it looks badass too :D.
