Innovative Performance Replacement Stabilizer from Fox Racing

When you're upgrading your 17-22 F250 or F350 with bigger, beefier tires, it's not uncommon to experience some steering stability issues. Unfortunately, a lot of solutions aren't as convenient as one might hope, with standard dual shock designs complicating install. Fox's TS Steering Stabilizer on the other hand features an innovative through shaft design (TS) that replaces the conventional opposing shock design and includes application-specific mounting hardware for quick, hassle-free installation.

Featuring Fox Racing's Through Shaft Design

Not only does the Fox TS Steering Stabilizer look like its from the future, but the TS design is seriously ahead of its time. The shock's architecture eliminates shaft fluid displacement in travel, thereby ensuring effective damping and consistent steering control. The stabilizer's shock body is a full 2 inches in diameter with a 5/8" diameter shaft made from heat-treated steel, hard-plated with chrome for excellent long-term durability.

2018 F350

Bought in may 2019. Now in April 2021. Stabilizer was working fine and made an improvement, I liked it very much. My truck has low miles on it, in that time I put just over 13k miles on my truck, drove the truck to work one day and noticed a puddle under it, took a look and the stabilizer was leaking out of the seal that the rod slides through. Not too happy it only lasted 13k miles of on road use. I am very meticulous with my truck so it was not abused in any way.

2017 F350 Lariat FX4

The Fox TS (985-02-132) is a very good replacement for the stock Ford steering stabilizer. I am very happy with the TS and can only imagine how good the ATS would be. I am running a slightly larger tire (285x65x20E) and the TS really tightened up the steering feel for my truck. I never have had "death wobble" with this truck, so this isn't something I was trying to correct. This was a very easy install, once i found my pickle fork to get the stock stabilizer bolt out.

2020 F250 6.7 Powerstroke 4x4

This item really improved the handling of my truck. I tow a 10,000lb trailer and most time with 1,000lbs in bed. This stabilizer controls those little wobbles that happen from time to time.

2019 f350

so I've purchased the pass through Fox shock for a 2019 F3 50 so far shock is doing what it is supposed to but on initial install and ever since as you turn the wheel especially in cold weather it makes a creek sound like the pass-through is gripping on the seals , it is worse than the cold weather but regardless it does it left or right sounds like an old creaky door wore out suspension parts,,, iam gonna keep driving for awhile and see if goes away but my experience being a mechanic I really don't think it will, but if it doesn't I also ordered the Fox 2.0 standard regular factory replacement type so will check that one and see if it works if this noise doesnt go away ...

According to Fox, this stabilizer does not require a lift or a level for installation and will work on a Super Duty at stock ride height.

This is much cheaper than the ATS in the same style. Would I be as happy on this item as compared to the ATS version for mostly street use?

Probably. It really depends on the tire size you're aiming for. The 2.0 TS should be able to handle up to a 35" tire without issues. If you are aiming for larger tires than 35", then you may want to consider the ATS or a dual stabilizer setup.

Yep. This stabilizer does not have any ride height requirements and will work on a Super Duty that's still at stock ride height.

Does this damper fit in the stock location? Meaning, you have the remove the oem damper and install this in it's place?

This stabilizer does require the removal of the stock stabilizer for installation, and uses one of the mounts for the stock stabilizer.

Does this application fit a 4wd dually?

Unfortunately, Fox has not confirmed fitment on the Dually trucks as of yet, and there could be an issue due to the larger drag links on the dually trucks and how this particular stabilizer installs. We do have other stabilizer options that will fit a F350 or F450 Dually, just give us a call directly at 623-434-5277.

Will this stabilizer be suitable for running a level and 35's?

As long as you're not running really heavy M/Ts or really big 35s (i.e. 35x13.50, 35x15.50, etc.), this stabilizer should work just fine and provide you an improvement in stability.

Unfortunately, we can't guarantee it since the PMF kit uses larger tubing than stock. Your better bet would be the Bilstein 5100 damper, since it doesn't rely on clamping for installation.

Have a 2021 F350 with a readylift 2.5" leveling kit and 35's. Looking to upgrade from my factory stabilizer. No real issues today just would like tightening up of the front end feel and take out some of the steering shutter from the 35's. Would this work or would I be happier with a dual kit?

If you're only running 35" tires on a 2.5" level and you aren't planning on jumping up to more lift or bigger tires in the future, the Fox 2.0 TS stabilizer would be perfectly fine, and dual kit would likely be overkill.
