The S&B EcoBoost cold air intake features a unique design that actually reuses a large portion of your truck's factory air box, but replaces the most restrictive components with far more efficient, powerful, and high-quality gear. S&B's kit comes with a new air box scoop/inlet that is much larger than stock and allows their filter to bring in much more air than the stock air box duct. The filter itself features a high-flow oiled filtration media with molded silicone ends that keep the filter more securely in its tubing while being able to handle temperatures of up to 400 Fahrenheit. The filter pulls a huge volume of charge air into a specially-designed inlet tube with a massive diameter and unique twist that then splits off to each of your F150's turbochargers. S&B throws in special adapters that accept the different sensors found between the 2011 and the later 2012 to 2014 model years, allowing this intake kit to be used with any F150 EcoBoost truck. Each of these S&B cold air intake kits comes with a new upper air box assembly that helps keep the filter protected from engine grime, heat, and debris for more efficient operation. 2012 f150 3.5 ecoboost

This is a great product. The fit and finish is above all on the market currently. The sound of the intake can be heard but isn't overly obnoxious. And the air temps are cooler than most HOT air intakes. Utilizes the stock air box bottom and seals as well for no worries.

2014 f150 XLT

2014 F150 XLT --3.5 Ecoboost --Fit and appearance was good -- less than a hour to install-- Noticed a change right off -- fuel mileage gain from 16.5 to 18.8 mpg -- approx 2 1/2 mpg gain on trips back and forth to town --also noticed less black residue at exhaust tip -- worth the money-- good product

2013 F150 FX4 Ecoboost

Simple and quick install. Since installing this intake I've also installed a MBRP 4 exhaust and tuned my truck with 5 star customer tunes from through Stage3. Great products all around and helpful customer service. When I purchased my truck used the MPG's were very low after installing these products listed above they have gone up considerably.

Install was very simple. All parts and pieces were in box. Instructions were simple and shipping was next day for free and kit looks good under the hood. Have no complaints. Would recommend to anyone i know.

2012 F-150 EcoBoost

This item arrived exactly as described by the seller. Installation was very simple. My MPG has slightly increased, but I do not know yet if it has increased the horsepower. The item really adds some spunk to the stock look of the V6 engine. Would recommend this product to any similar truck owner.

2013 Ford F150 Ecoboost

Very quiet CAI. Can't say that I noticed much of a difference after installation But I only had it alone without a tuner for 2 days. I'm assuming it's teamed up well with the tuner and providing the increase adverstised.

Installation was easy and took about 20 minutes. If you are looking for a deep throaty sounding intake this isnt it. Its the only downfall.

2014 F150 Ecoboost

Very well made product. Looks almost factory. I've had an increase of 1mpg and noticable power increase. There is a small increase of noise from the turbos but not nearly as loud as other intakes I have heard. It sounds good, looks good, works good!

2014 eco 3.5

A little more turbo noise fit and finish is like oem. More response over the stock linked up pipes. Definitely more full throttle gulp sounds. No dif on mpg for me at first. Tuned, plugs, coils for sure am getting a few extra mpg now.

2014 F150 Eco 3.5

Install time about 30 min total. Nice that it uses the factory bottom airbox which saves a lot of work. Plastic S&B cover came slightly scratched but other than that I am happy. No noticeable gains of any kind, I have the AFE charge pipe, resonated y pipe and diamond exhaust so the noise increase was not noticeable to my application. This was recommended by Stage3 in their video of best cold air intakes so thats what made me purchase this one.

If you just run the CAI and don't combine it with a Tune then you will be okay and warranty will still be intact.

I noticed that S&B instructions say nothing about removing the intake vanes, the twisted plastic pieces just downstream of the intake tube. Can you confirm that their purpose is to quiet the intake? Can they be removed without adverse effects?

If i remove the clear cover, will i be able to hear more turbo noise like the AFE? Would that affect funtionality?
