Features a Dual-Filter Design with Twin Inlet Tubes

Each one of these awesome kits are built around an impressive dual filter setup that features one of the most aggressive looks on the market while pulling in a ton more air than stock. The two filters included in aFe's 2015-2017 F150 EcoBoost Stage 2 package are part of their Pro Dry S series and feature five layers of filter media with a dry design that makes them extremely easy to clean. The filters are mounted in a full heat shield assembly that comes with weatherstripping to create a seal with your F150's hood for increased protection against heat soak. The dual filters pour their charge air into two independent inlet tubes that are connected by a H-pipe balance tube which provides each of your F150's turbochargers with much more charge air than stock. The inlet tubes are made from 3.5" diameter, mandrel-bent aluminum with a powder coat finish. aFe includes all the couplers, clamps, hardware, and instructions that you need for installation.

2016 F150

Got my aFe intake installed this afternoon. Installed without any problems and in about 30 minutes Now aFe has some pretty big performance claims... personally I never believe manufacturers claims especially a claim as big as aFe's! They claim 32 HP. I was extremely skeptical to say the least! So I did my standard 0-60 MPH test... I was shocked at the results! Even did it a couple of times. Same results. I even looked up the DA to make to the conditions were comparable and they were. The results... Stock air box - 5.2 seconds aFe intake - 4.8 seconds Based on my math that kind of improvement would take about 30 RWHP, which is right inline with aFe's claim. Yes I am impressed!!!

2016 2.7 eco xlt sport

Took about 45 min as im not mechanically inclined but very easy install. Quicker throttle response and about another mpg. Sounds awesome. All in all im happy with it and Stage 3 Motorsports quick shipping.

2.7 ecoboost

Never had an issue with afe till I bought a kit for my 2.7 ecoboost. Fits like garbage, rubs on the under side of my hood , distorts my factory couplings, one of the filters sits crooked and is easily the worst fitting intake I've ever seen. Sent an email right away to afe, still no reply, been a week now.... phoned them and was told they had a bad batch of tubes made in China or something, they need pictures. So I had to reinstall that piece of garbage back on to my truck just to take pics of a problem they're already aware of. Emailed the pics as per their request and still no reply. This is the last afe product I'll ever buy or sell. They've permanently lost my business. And now I'm out almost $600..... good times, thanks afe...

2017 f150

The intake was not complete had to go and buy a extra filter from auto parts that will fit on there intake has some scratches on it it sucks but o well I got it to work after a week of having it try calling put me on hold for ever every time I called but that was my luck lol

2016 F150 2.7 Eco

Love the intake! I put the same thing on my last F150 and loved it! It’s not as loud as I the last one I installed which was disappointing but it’s a great product and I would definitely recommend!

2016 Ford F150 Limited

Great product. Only issues I have are the tubes are quite bent at the correct angles so it takes some forcing on the tubes to get them CLOSE to where they should be. The AFE filter box would be a lot nicer if it was more secure in the lower factory box. Other than that, it looks great and sounds even better.

Can this be shipped to Baltimore MD. Also what is the difference between this cold air intake and the other afe intake? I see one says dry but I don't know what that means.

This kit can be shipped to Maryland without issues. This version of the kit comes with Dry air filters, which means they don't require filter oil like many other intakes. The dry design makes them easier to clean, though they typically aren't as efficient when it comes to airflow or filtration as oiled filter designs.

I see that this doesn't pass the California emissions code. In baltimore I have to pass an emissions test every two years. Will this intake cause me to fail the test or is the California emissions test just really strict?

Californian emissions standards are far more strict than the majority of the country, and all aftermarket parts must be tested by the California Air Resources Board before being granted approval to be sold in the state of California and any other state/area that has adopted CARB standards. This intake kit will not cause your truck to fail an emissions test, assuming it's properly installed.

Hey Jason, two questions: 1. Can I run this on my 3.5EB in California and pass smog? 2. Will this CAI fit/work with the RKSport Ram Air hood?

1). This intake is CARB approved under EO Number D-550-28 for 2015-2016 F150 3.5L & 2.7L EcoBoost Trucks. However, it is not CARB-approved on 2017 F150 2.7L EcoBoosts and it will not fit 2017 3.5L EcoBoost F150s. 2). We haven't tried it ourselves, but this kit should work with the RK Sport Ram Air Hood. At the very worst, you'd have to trim off a bit of the heat shield assembly for clearance.
