High-Quality Billet Aluminum Catch Can with Choice of Finish

The heart of this system is the can's four-chamber oil separation and coalescing chamber design. UPR's system rapidly captures and cools blow-by oils, which then form progressively larger droplets that then drop into the can's reservoir which is fitted with a drain to make it easy to empty the can. The UPR catch can itself is manufactured out of domestic CNC machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum and then diamond-cut to its final shape for a great look and finish. The can measures 3" wide by 6" tall and comes standard with OE-style, plug-and-play fittings, high-quality ferrules, and braided Goodyear lines that give the system a great look and excellent levels of reliability. Each can has a 360 mounting bracket that makes it easy to install and is available in a black finish. UPR's can includes install instructions and all its necessary hardware.

Drilling Required: this catch can kit requires drilling into one of your truck's intake downtubes for its Wide-open-throttle (WOT) connection.

2017 Raptor

Hey 2017+ Raptor owners, this is the can you need. A true plug and play component. Very easy to install and suggested location is easily accessed for draining contaminated fluids that accumulate in the can. Awesome product. I got clear finish to add some silver to the very black engine compartment.

2018 Ford Raptor

The installation is pretty straight forward and other than getting the turbo tube off to drill fairly easy. The underside of the engine cover much be trimned a little to accommodate the hoses that go to the catch can, but that is easily done being it is made of foam. The can fits well and all the components are high quality. I added a drain hose to make it easier to drain.

2017 Ford F-150 Raptor

Installation was about 2 hours but I was in no rush. Directions were simple to follow. Just take your time and be sure to not make a mistake with the proper hose connections to the catch can from the intake. Have not drained it yet but wish it came with a short hose on the outlet side to make draining it easier. My only gripe.

2018 F150 3.5 EB

Straight forward install, took 45 min or so. Real nice looking catch can, quality made and hoses are so nice, they look stock. Have about 1500 miles since install, not hard miles just normal with occasional hard starts. Just checked and maybe 1/4 oz of oil came out. Worth it? hard to say but maybe the more miles put on. I average 75k-150k till sell or trade, so time will tell

Quality product, easy install. Make sure you remove the intake pipe before cutting the WOT hole. The video is crazy to make that hole without removing the pipe. 1000 miles on, no problem and tested the drain to see if any oil would come out. A little did so it must be doing it's job.

2018 F180 Ecoboost 3.5

Install took about an hour. Would definitely recommend you remove the WOT tube before you drill to make sure that no bits enter the engine, although it does add 15 minutes or so. Very high quality parts, everything fit nicely, and it looks good. Very satisfied.

2017 F150 4x4 super crew

High quality hose , Hardware , Catch can , Very Easy to install with video it took me about 45 minutes . I have used the can for about 3 months now . I'm glad that all that gunk is not going into the Turbos . Would recommend this on any Turbo Car or Truck !

Flawless kit! Everything is top notch in quality and it went right on with no difficulties whatsoever. Only logged about 600 miles with it on, so I don't know how much oil it is catching, but I installed it early on this truck to maximize the benefits of this system. Awesome Product!

2018 Ford Raptor

Great design and well built. Location is difficult to get to to empty. I'd suggest making an extension tube that allows for drainage down below. Video instructions don't show the newer intake tube that was redesigned for 2018 but the location is the same, for the WOT plug. Overall well designed and a definite requirement for any modern DI motor.

F150 2017 3.5L ecoboost 4x4

Bought the truck used at 39k miles and added the 5Star 93 performance tune at 43k miles. I installed the catch can JIC. Glad I did. The photo was taken 3k miles after installation. That’s an 8oz mason jar.

2020 raptor

Everything fit good but mine didn’t come with the drain on the bottom in the pictures. I just made a remote drain that’s a little easier to get to that having one attached to the bottom. They only reason I give it 3 stars is because it didn’t come as a complete kit with drain as mentioned.

The second gen 3.5L ecoboost fuel injection system is a dual, port/direct injection system. I understand that a port fuel injection system 'washes' the intake valve whereas a direct fuel injection system does not and if I understand correctly, there in lies the problem of coking on the valves. Since the second gen 3.5L ecoboost appears to have the ability to wash the valves, how does adding this catch can system improve and prevent the problem any better? Thank you

While valve coking is less of an issue on the 2017 F150 3.5L EcoBoosts due to their dual-fuel systems, they can still suffer from PCV blow-by causing intercooler pooling which leads to moisture ingestion, octane degradation, and coating/coking of the rest of your truck's intake system which the UPR can helps to prevent.

I installed the UPR dual valve oil catch can on my 2017 3.5L EB F-150 about 3 months ago. I opened the valve this morning, and not a drop of liquid drained out. I drove about 1800 miles with no check engine lights, and the truck runs perfect. Is this normal?

How often do you need to empty the can? Also since this catches oil and doesn't go back into the oil pan, do you need to regularly add oil?
