2015 F150 EcoBoost 3.5

Quick install, easy. Fit was perfect. Looks nice, maybe a little more turbo noise, maybe not it's quiet. Filter has been on for a month and My truck did just turn on the check engine light (P04DB) disconnected PCV hose. It was raining and I was getting on the high way, so maybe to much dense air?? I cleared the code and all is good again. 4 stars only cause the code.

2017 f150 3.5l ecoboost

Took about 25 mins to install. The factory air intake sensor harness is about 10 too short. But I found one online on Amazon and had it delivered overnight so I could have my truck back together by Monday. It really works great fuel mileage up 5~6%.

2015, Ford, F150 2.7 Ecoboost

I have used Banks parts in the past and had great experience with them. Nothing's changed, this is a high quality part. Its huge compared to the stock unit and I can feel a difference in throttle response. Would definitely recommend.

2016 F150 3.5 Eco-Boost

Was very easy to install, and took less than an hour. I could feel the extra low end power just pulling out of the driveway. The truck averaged 19 mpg stock. When I added the canopy, it dropped to 17.5 (yes, you lose economy with a canopy). I put the Banks Ram-Air intake on and mpg went to 20.5. That's 3 more mpg with added power. Very satisfied!

Took about 1 hr. Was not too difficult, but it is tight spaces to work with to get hands in spots and to get sockets into position.

2016 F-150 3.5L ecoboost

Very easy install. I did not notice a substantial change in turbo noise. When the windows are up there is no noticeable noise. I installed this at the same time as my tuning so I do not know if it made a performance difference.

2017 F150 Platinum

Easy install. Sent wrong fasteners for clear airbed cover. Haven't noticed increased economy or performance. Hoping after exhaust and tune will show worth the cost as opposed to replacing pleated paper filter with K&N cotton.

2016 F150 2.5 EcoBoost

Install went without a hitch and took maybe 20 minutes. Everything needed came with this kit, all mounting holes aligned perfectly with the OEM mounts. I didn't notice an increase in power, there is only a very slight difference in sound when at wide-open-throttle. I was hoping to see a slight increase in fuel economy, but at most I would say that I gained less than .5 mpg.

2016 F150 Ecoboost

Easy install, took 30 minutes tops. All parts were clearly labeled and easy to find. Quick shipping from Stage 3. Also, greatly appreciate the install video because it helped see somebody else put the CAI in first. Previous review about slightly more turbo whine was correct, maybe 1-2 more decibels. Four stars because I can't verify any power gains without taking it to a dyno. Same gas mileage with 87 octane as far as I can tell.

2016 F-150

Another classic Banks product. Install took about 30 minutes. Great system, I can hear the air being sucked through the massive air inlet with a little more turbo noise. I took out my silencer rings for some more turbo noise. I have better acceleration and throttle response and see a little bit better fuel mileage. By no means is it serious gains, however, its a noticeable difference that I feel and hear. I even put the stock air box back on just to see how much of a difference it made and not just the placebo affect. Least to say, I will be throwing the stock air box away. You cant go wrong with this and plus it looks pretty damn sweet under the hood. I would highly recommend this.

2015 3.5 Ecoboost

Good quality. Unlike most CAIs this one made no noticeable change in intake sound. Doubt it has any measurable power improvement on it's own but I got it as a stepping stone with an exhaust and tune.

There seems to be a conflict on what this CAI will fit. On the main list page is a video that claims it will fit '15-'17 F 150's w/ 3.5L EC's. However, also on the page it says it only goes up to '16 models and in this question section is indicated that it will not fit '17 and '18 models. If this CAI will now fit up to at least the '17 models, a change in the add might be useful to those considering its purchase. I have this interest but am unsure if it will work. Also, there seems to be some question as to needing a IAT harness extension. If so, would this be included in the kit?

Unfortunately, Banks has changed their fitment information on us a couple of times now. This intake will fit up to the 2017 model year 2.7L EcoBoosts, but it will not fit 2017 F150 3.5L EcoBoosts. Banks does not currently offer an IAT extension, and one will not be included in this kit.

I saw this was answered back in 2018, but does this fit on a 2017 F150 3.5? I saw that the answer is no here at Stage 3, but on a video from 5 Star Tuning I noticed this Banks CAI on a 3.5 they were tuning. Then I went to their website and the same model # intake works for a 2015 - 2019. I'm confused on whether or not to get this CAI.

According to Banks, this intake is confirmed to fit up to and has CARB approval up to the 2017 model year F150s. They do not have an outright confirmation for the 2018-2020 F150s, but they may just be waiting on an EO update.

Unfortunately, Banks has only confirmed fitment for up to the 2016 model year 2.7L EcoBoosts and has not confirmed fitment on the 2018s.
