One such modification is a cold air intake and this new system from AIRAID can give your EcoBoost a nice increase in horsepower, torque and improved fuel economy. Both the 2.7L and 3.5L V6 EcoBoost models can breathe a lot easier with this high-quality bolt-on replacement. AIRAID's MXP Cold Air Intake replaces your truck's restrictive factory air box and inlet tubing with much more efficient and powerful hardware to feed your twin-turbos increased air for easy performance gains. Designed with the use of an aluminum lid on the intake box to keep hot engine air away from the filter, your system will gain a lot more cool air than some other air intakes on the market that quickly heat up and breathe hot air into your engine. AIRAID's MXP Series is a true "Cold Air" Intake that not only gives your truck added performance but also looks great in your engine bay.

High-Flow Dry Filter

This Cold Air Intake Kit includes a red-colored SynthaMax Dry Filter which is made of up multiple layers of synthetic media that work together to filter out contaminants while still breathing in a larger volume of cooler charge air to your engine than stock to keep it running at optimal levels. The filter is fully reusable and can be washed which is a great investment that will continue to pay for itself since you won't have to buy those paper replacement filters that go along with the factory stock system. The Roto-Molded Intake Tubes are compatible with your truck's MAP sensors and both include provisions for all of your factory fittings.

Installation Note: The intake systems for the 2.7L and 3.5L EcoBoost engines include a bifurcated intake tube that feeds the EcoBoost's twin turbos with a massive amount of cool air as well as provisions for all of the factory sensors and fittings, making for an easy bolt-on installation.

2016 F150 FX4

The Airaid intake only took about 30 minutes to install including removing the factory installed CAI. I noticed the difference immediately in both power and fuel economy. At lower RPM the Airaid intake performed significantly better than the factory CAI. I gained slightly over 1 mpg after install, consistently over 5 tanks of gas. I would highly recommend the intake despite the price because of the quality and visible performance increase.

2016 F-150

Outstanding product! Installation took about 45minutes but everything fit perfectly, just a little shimmying required to get everything to align. Can definitely hear the turbos more now and have noticed a good amount of bottom end throttle response. No increase in mpg that I've seen yet.

2018 Ford F150 2.7L

Very nice product. overall looks amazing, not much different on sound and have not tested out for long period yet. Pretty easy installation, nice material. 2 little complaints. The air intake tube has 2 black pieces they include to replace stock. They could be a little longer/stronger. 2nd thing is the air intake tube that connects to the air filter does not "snap" in. had to add something around inner part to make the fit stay better. this could be fixed by airaid in the future in my opinion. Giving it 4 stars because of those 2 things but overall, again, seems very nice

2018 F-150 2.7 ecoboost

I love the intake it has helped the engine breath and i got 1-2 mpg if you drive it more conservatively. supper easy to install and worth every penny. only thing bad thing is, is that when i opened the box Airaid forgot to put the bolts and such in but i called them up and within a few days they had the bolts and such shipped out too me. for sound you can hear the turbos and BOV much better but when just cruzing along it not very loud and when you run it enclosed you dont hear it at all which is exactly what I wanted, to be able to have both open and closed.

F-150

The product was a breeze to install and does what it says. Fuel efficiency did increase by a little. Lately though it’s been kicking a Check engine light. Adjust the air flow sensors and it stops for like 2 days. Any ideas?
