Strong Aluminum Construction

The Bakflip G2 Tonneau Cover Kit is extremely easy to get up and running on your truck and installs with a simple set of clamps. The tonneau cover itself is made out of aircraft-grade aluminum that can handle even the worst punishment dished out by mother nature as well as any off-road action you happen to encounter. The aluminum fold-up design also makes it much more difficult for someone to break into your truck's bed -- assuming you lock the tailgate. The cover measures 1/2" thick and features a black powder coat finish. The BakFlip G2 Tonneau Cover installs with absolutely no drilling or any permanent modifications and will work with any aftermarket bed liner or bed extender.

Ordered this on a Sunday over the holidays and expected it to take a while given the weekend. Showed up at my door on Tuesday morning. I unboxed and installed within 20-30 mins only because I was taking my time since it seemed to simple. Great construction and easy to use. I transport electronics and hate having to move everything into the cab with the two carseats every time I leave the truck over 10 mins. Problem solved. We had some good rain for a week straight and only a few drops made it into the bed where the tailgate openings are. I solved that problem by getting the tailgate weather stripping from Amazon. Overall great construction, secure, weather proof and most of all great looking design !! I highly recommend.

Excellent product from an even better company. I ordered this bed cover to be able to transport luggage/etc. in the bed of my truck on some long road trips over the holidays. Unfortunately, UPS lost my package and the lost package investigation was not going to be completed in the time that I needed the bed cover. I called the guys at Stage3 and within one day, they shipped a replacement with guaranteed overnight delivery! I've dealt with lost packages before and rarely has a company been as polite and helpful as Stage3 was in ensuring I got a replacement as soon as possible. Hats off to these guys once again. As for the product itself, its as good as advertised. Read the installation guide from start to finish to become familiar with it and then install will be a breeze. Installation can be easily be done in less than an hour by yourself (although an extra set of hands would have been helpful a few times). Product looks great on vehicle and all materials fit and finish is what you would expect from a nice bed cover. Do not hesitate to purchase this produce if in the market for a folding bed cover and most certainly do not hesitate to order from Stage3. These guys are the best in the business.

Wasn't too bad to install. It looks amazingl. Only thing is that you have to flip back the first section every time you need to close the tailgate so it takes a little more time to open and close the tailgate but you get used to it. My dad likes it so much he's buying one for his f250.

2016 Ford F-150 NA V6

The look when installed is freakin clean! If your trying to keep some of the elements out of your bed this is the best thing for you. It offers a good amount of protection if you put valuables in the bed of your truck like I do sometimes. My only complaint if any is that more water get in the bed then I would like. Other than that this thing kicks @$$! Will try to add photos!

Awesome tonneau cover. Pretty easy to install (took about 1 hour including the drinks of beer). One of the clips came busted so that was kind of a bummer but everything else was good. Quick delivery too for such a big item too.

Ford F150 Short Bed

Purchased this cover about a month ago now and it is holding up extremely well so far. Four large rainstorms and not a single drop of water in the truck bed. The install was very easy and took less than an hour. I'm happy with the fit and the look overall. I've also noticed about .5 better MPG. The only thing I'd say could be better is the strings where you grab to unlock the panel. They can be hard to grab quickly, they should think about a handle. I just put a piece of black tape on each string so they were easier to grab.

There are numerous tutorials online so the cover went together super easy, just under an hour.The cover appears to be constructed of quality materials and built with care. The cover is exactly what I was looking for from a security and aesthetic standpoint, however, the cover leaks significantly from various places. I understand that no tonneau cover is completely waterproof but I am disappointed in the covers ability to keep things in the bed dry. After parking the truck outside in the rain for roughly 4 hours, the cover allowed a decent amount of water to enter the bed. (See attached photos) I checked the drains and they do work, however, it appears the water is entering through the horizontal bracing on the underside of the cover. The cover is great but I am having reservations on putting anything that I don’t want to get wet in the bed (I.e. luggage, tools etc.)

Can you open the tailgate without have to flip up the Tonneau Cover?

Yep. The back end of the tonneau just rests on the tailgate and does not hinder its function, even with the tonneau laid down.

Can you carry any weight over the cover? And how much can you carry?

You can. BAK states that the maximum weight load for the tonneau cover is 400lbs that's "evenly distributed." Frankly, you should probably stay far under that number to help preserve the longevity of the tonneau cover.

What is the main diferance between the HD and G2 cover? Thanks

The G2's panels only have an aluminum exterior with an EPS core, while the HD cover uses aluminum sandwich panels that are powder coated.

Since this fits between the rails, and I have the OEM bed ramps will this fit? the Ford OEM bed cover from REV says it won't so just making sure?

This tonneau cover will not fit with the OEM Ford bed ramps in their stowed position on the sides of the bed.
