The benefits of having a differential cover are more than just having a more aggressive and impressive exterior appearance. For one thing, maintenance becomes easier because a lot of these differential covers include drain plugs that make the process of swapping the gear oil out that much easier. On one of our project trucks, we threw on an AFE Rear Differential Cover (Machined/Pro Series). One thing that this offers is a construction that is made from durable die-cast A380 aluminum with reinforced ribs and wrinkles black powder-coating for maximum strength and a custom look. The one that we used as seen in the installation video below is specifically created to fit single wheel trucks with 12-bolt 10.25" & 10.50" axles.
