The Garrett turbocharger aspirating the 6.7L Powerstroke from the 2011-2016 Super Duty has proven itself to be a capable turbo in terms of reliability, especially after the mid-gen redesign. Although issues seem to pop up here and there, in general both the early and late model Garrett turbochargers have been adequate. But who wants to settle for "adequate"?
