Keeping your truck Street-Legal
One thing that you've probably already noticed about our 2011-2014 F250/F350 6.7L exhaust selection is a decisive lack of DPF-delete systems. This is intentional, and you're not missing anything. While we here at Stage 3 are dedicated to giving your truck all the power, torque, and fuel economy that it can muster, we have to do it within the confines of what's legal. DPF-delete systems were all the rage after the 6.4L Powerstroke trucks were mandated to come with a diesel particulate filter (DPF) from the factory. DPFs cut down on diesel particulate matter (diesel soot) being pushed out from your truck's engine, helping keep skies green and lungs non-cancerous. The only issue is that they have a pretty negative impact on performance.
Many companies for a lot of years offered DPF-delete kits, and many still do. You just won't find them (or their required PCM tuning) here at Stage 3. Both the EPA and California Air Resource Board (CARB) have come down hard on both manufacturers and retailers of those DPF-delete kits and the PCM tuners that could program for them, and we frankly don't need the heat, or think the performance gains are worth the problems. In any case, we carry standard DPF-back kits, tuning, and other bolt-on upgrades that won't get you into hot water but will get your 6.7L Super Duty running stronger than you could ever want or need.
