Adding Some Lift with a Leveling Kit

If you're on the warpath for turning your 2007-2014 Expedition into a mean, capable trail/camping/hunting truck, the first thing you need to do is add a leveling kit to squeeze on some larger wheel and tires. Our suspension upgrades section has more than a few drop-in leveling kits that can get the front and/or rear of your Expedition up taller and give you the clearance for larger tires. We went with a ReadyLift 3" Front and 2" Rear SST Level/Lift Kit for our own 2012 Expedition, and we were able to squeeze on 18x9" Fuel Anza Wheels with 01mm offsets and 295/70R18 Nitto Ridge Grappers with only minor valance and power step trimming.

Improving Suspension Performance with Bilstein

The stock strut assemblies of your 2007-2014 Expedition were never much to write home about, especially if you've put more than your fair share of mileage on the things, and if you're planning on turning your Expedition into an off-road capable utility vehicle, then you'll need an upgrade. We were in the same pickle with our 2012 Expedition Project Truck, and turned to Bilstein's 4600 Series Front Struts and 4600 Series Rear Struts for help. These gas-charged monotube struts improved response, reduced fade, and are a lot tougher than the stock assemblies.
