Information on 2004-2007 6.0L Super Duty Cold Air Intakes

Along with differences in the material that makes up the filter, you'll also have the option to go with a dry filter or an oiled one. Essentially, the main difference between an oiled and a dry filter is that with most dry filters, you simply discard them once their service life has ended, while most oiled filters can be cleaned and re-used. Another benefit to dry filters is the ability to clean them with compressed air, although this really only applies if you're living in a desert climate where dust is regularly getting caught in your filter.
