Awesome Suspension Performance and Front Leveling

Leveling your truck and getting a smooth factory ride don't always go hand-in-hand. Many aftermarket leveling kits reuse your stock suspension hardware which leaves you with a factory ride and suspension performance at best, if not worse. Bilstein, one of the biggest names in performance suspensions, cuts out the middle man with this 5100 shock kit that includes high-quality adjustable front shocks. These shocks allow you to set your 2004 to 2008 F150's front ride height to stock, +1.0", or +2.0" of leveling by using their adjustable spring seat tabs. The adjustable design is paired up with legendary Bilstein quality and performance that let you take these dampers anywhere for any application you have in mind without fear.

Steel-Cased Monotube Shocks with Unique Piston

Each of these shock absorbers feature an ultra-strong steel body with a zinc plated finish that protects against corrosion. The shocks all feature a monotube gas-charged interior design with a digressive piston and self-adjusting deflective valving which allows each shock to work at varying ride heights and give your truck improved articulation in off-road application. All four shocks feature a large 46mm diameter that gives them a huge oil volume for less fade during heavy and sustained articulation off-road. This complete kit is a direct bolt-on replacement for your factory shocks and can be used with your factory front coil springs and rear leaf springs.

2005 Ford F-150 Lariat Supercab 4wd

Installed the 5100 struts and shocks on my son's 2005 F-150 Lariat 4wd, and the kit has really improved the looks of the truck greatly with the 2 inch front lift. The only problems I had with the install was compressing the stock front springs far enough to get the strut top mount to bolt down on the new strut with the extra lift. Otherwise, the rest of the install was a piece of cake. The rear shock install was a breeze. The truck still had the original shocks and struts, and they were toast. The Bilsteins 5100s have improved the truck's handling tremendously! Stage3 came through by delivering the kit quickly and at a great price!

2006 F150 4wd

These are great quality shocks. Pretty straight forward install. My truck is rusty so the upper strut mounts had to be chopped off with a cutoff wheel/grinder. I figured this going in, so I had a set already on hand. Make sure you have a good quality spring compressor. It was a slight challenge getting the stock spring compressed far enough to get the nut started on the new strut at the max height setting. I did this in a weekend in my driveway with jack stands and hand tools. I replaced a lot of other parts while I was in there. Lower ball joints, UCA, sway bar links, tie rod ends, and CV axles. If you were just installing this kit I don't imagine it would take someone more than a day. I would recommend spraying all your nuts and bolts down with some penetrating oil days before you begin the work. Also an impact gun would be a huge help. The truck rides great now, and I love the way it looks. I can clear a 295/70R17 tire on a 17x9 wheel with a 0mm offset now too!

2008 F150 4X4

Love the shocks. Truck rides much better. The back shocks went on very easy. The front struts were difficult to install. I had a lot of trouble trying to get the new struts in. The factory control arms did not have enough clearance and it took 2 people and 2 floor jacks to get enough articulation to get the strut in. I also had to remove the tie rod. I ended up getting the drivers side installed and limped the truck to a local shop and had them install the passenger side. If you have enough tools and manpower this can be done in a driveway, but using hand tools and floor jacks took me several hours just to get one strut installed. In the future I’ll do the rear shocks myself and have a shop do the front. I love the shocks but the install was a headache I’ll avoid in the future

Shocks look great using the 2 inch setting makes my FX4 level. Ride is good too. Better than stock I think.

Great Communication with the stage3 staff. Paid extra to ship it overnight and it arrived the next day. The rice with expedited shipping was still the cheapest option! I will definitely be a repeat customer in the future

Ride quality way better than before leveled my front rake a bit and so far I am enjoying the improvement in the ride quality especially on our beaten asphalt roads here in AZ

If I install this on a 2006 f 150 4wd can I use a 295 60 20 tire?
